Kate Beckinsale’s recent hospital stay isn’t slowing her career down. Despite being 50 years old, the actress is gearing up to star in the upcoming kidnapping drama “Stolen Girl” alongside Scott Eastwood. The film, which is based on a true story, follows Maureen Dabbagh’s relentless search for her daughter after her father takes her.

James Kent will direct “Stolen Girl,” with filming primarily taking place in Italy, and production expected to begin soon. Rebecca Pollock and Kas Graham have penned the screenplay, with a reported budget of $25 million.

The announcement of Beckinsale’s casting comes after she posted and then deleted a series of Instagram updates from her hospital bed. She was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. While she hasn’t disclosed specifics, Beckinsale has denied rumors of treatment for a ruptured cyst or endometriosis, though she had been treated for a ruptured ovarian cyst in 2019.

Despite facing health challenges, Kate Beckinsale remains resilient. Recently, she paid tribute to her late stepfather, Ray Battersby, on what would have been his birthday. Amidst her personal struggles, she continues to embrace life’s ups and downs, sharing candid reflections on social media about coping with grief and health issues.

As Kate Beckinsale embarks on her latest cinematic venture, her dedication to her craft and her ability to overcome adversity are evident. These showcase her unwavering commitment to her career despite facing personal challenges.
