Your journey has been inspiring to many. What pivotal moment in your career do you feel truly shaped who you are today?

“I wouldn’t say there was a single moment, but rather a series of observations that shaped my path. Often, I’d have a fitness client share their health struggles, and when I asked if their doctor provided lifestyle solutions, the answer was usually no. That’s where my role as a nurse comes in. I combine nursing and fitness to offer a balanced approach that promotes long-term wellness.”

Balancing professional success and personal challenges can be overwhelming.

How do you maintain resilience and stay grounded through it all?

“For me to effectively help others, I must lead by example. I’m very disciplined with my own health, and on days when I feel less motivated, I push myself even harder. Consistency and self-discipline keep me grounded.”

As a visionary in your field, what new trends or shifts do you see emerging, and how do you plan to stay ahead of the curve?

I hope to see a return to fitness fundamentals, moving away from fad diets and weight-loss injections. People are often drawn to quick fixes, but they don’t realize the long-term health risks, such as digestive issues and respiratory distress, that come with these methods. I stay ahead by promoting sustainable, holistic practices that prioritize lasting health.”

You’ve become a role model for many aspiring individuals. What advice would you give to those looking to break into your industry?

Don’t give up. Action is key—you can’t just talk about your goals; you have to start somewhere. It’s okay if you have to distance yourself from certain people who don’t understand your vision. No one else needs to grasp your ‘why,’ as long as you do.”

Your personal style has become iconic. How do you approach fashion, and what are your favorite pieces or brands that reflect your personality?

“Being comfortable with myself is my top priority. I believe a great coat and quality shoes can elevate any look. I’m drawn to leather and the ‘wet look’ in clothing. I always wear what makes me feel confident, and I encourage others to do the same—wear what makes you feel your
, regardless of anyone else’s opinion.”

Looking ahead, what exciting projects or goals do you have that you’re eager to share with our readers?

“Currently, I’m focusing on teaching fitness classes at TBE Gym in Los Lunas and Absolute Fitness in Albuquerque. I’m going to focus on training for couples and also have a special program for people getting married. This Thanksgiving, I’ll be volunteering to help provide food for families in need, organized by Salvador Sisneros, the gym’s owner. Additionally, I’m in the process of opening a Mayweather Boxing Gym, which has been an exciting yet challenging journey. It’s all about taking things one day at a time
